heater bypass

Hi guys, I had a nipple let go on the outlet from the heater core so I'm bypassing it. My question is, is it okay if the bypass loop gets kinked? Because I seem to have to choose between a long loop that rubs the rear engine mount, or a short loop that kinks. Thanks
