Hi Adam
This has been already discussed on this thread- http://ozvr4.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2523

Check it out it should answer all of the questions. Biggest part is getting all the parts together and is damn expensive, it all depends how good of a service you want to do, me – I like to follow the book on big services but still believe that things like Hydraulic lifters ect don’t have to be changed unless they are stuffed but at the same time might be cheaper to get it done all at once when you have the engine open.
I have a set of parts for sale if you interested for 750 plus post. But you would have to be quick as I already have 2 requests to break the set and sell separately and I only advertised it yesterday.
But I would love to sell it as a pack its way easier for me that way.
Check this thread out if you are interested

But I think if you wait and collect all parts slowly you can save anywhere form 400 to 800 depending on what you want to replace.
Hope it helps
Tomas

I hate sounding like a forum nazi, but the Search button is your friend - the thread linked above even has "100,000km service" in the title...
