Can I ask what the best advice is for a new set of engine mounts? Car is original with 162 K KMS. Is original best? I see some forums talk about buying inserts and putting them in. Are original mounts still available? At moment it looks like only bottom front one is gone - seems to be resting on bottom of mount rubber.

Genuine mounts were still available a year or two ago. Worth enquiring but they are pricey.
I went oem again as the front (of engine) and rear mount (gearbox) are oil filled, and all mounts are rubber rather than poly.
Most inserts are poly which increases NVH.

Thanks for the reply - I must be honest, the reason i thought I would buy all mounts is because the front mount looked like rubber with 2 spoke sort bits of rubber between the inner bush and the outer, and that it had sagged and inner bush was resting on rubber lining on outside dia - did not see anything that looked like it could be oil filled? Thanks again
