Hi guys just wondering if anyone can shed anymore light on why my fuel tank keeps on splitting in the seam. Replaced original tank and now the replacement has split again on the same side same spot. All breathers were checked and cleared so i don't know if it's still a pressure problem or just a problem with the way the tanks are made. Cheers.

I'd say it's either twisted chassis or a bunch of load/stress being placed in that particular area... do you have stiff springs/shocks?

Twisted chassis is one way of I'm saying and another is the mounting points a slightly different bent out of shape or something along those lines

the plastic tank is held in my straps so its not actually bolted to the chassis. if you were to remove the tank, check for rub marks. it plastic tank might be getting squished.

i'd think the straps would have enough give to let the tank sit where it wants. perhaps you did just get two bad tanks?
