Hey guys would anyone know if a 6a12 mivec bottom end be compatible with 6a13 heads?

Seems like a huge step backwards for little gain. What parts are "stronger"?

I Have both 6A12 mivec and 6A13TT engines in my garage and I can tell you that the 6A12 isnt better.
even if it was stronger it would be one step forward and two steps back due to loosing 500cc displacement and all the work involved in making it work

money best spent strengthening the 6A13TT

I think i saw this same question somewhere else recently. Can't see why you would. I'd you want 2 litre may as well be 4b11 or 4g63. Stick with the 6a block

Read the engine manual. Its answers questions like that.
And like I said above, NO a 6a12 crank will not fit in a 6a13

Shaving the heads twice depends on how much was taken off the first time and how much is needed. i believe 3 thou is the limit, I'm not sure if I'm reading the manual right though. 6a13 workshop manual . I have actually taken off 4 thou of my heads and to be honest 4 thou wasn't even causing any problems to begin with, it was just general maintenance when changing my head gaskets that were fine to being to with.
