Hey guys, alright as you know I have a Carbon Bonnet with the EVO grill thingy on it..

Now, the grill in the bonnet isn't held on very well, and infact in 2 spots has come undone and wobbles and shakes as I drive! It's kind of annoying because now I can actually hear it and for a while yesterday was freaking out that something real bad was going on! (horrible noise!) :001_unsure:

I want to change the grill also to a black thin one instead of the chrome one, and plus it isn't aligned which is annoying! The patterning goes in 2 different directions on both sides o_O, if you have a proper look next time you'll be able to tell!

Anyway, I purchased some Araldite mix, and I think it should hold as I've heard it's very strong! But I'm unsure about the whole temperature thing, will it weaken with our engine bay temperatures?

Any other recommendations and where I'd be able to find something else?

Have you tried using blobs of silicone? It sticks pretty darn well.

Araldite shoudl be fine. The packet should state the temps it will operate within.

It says it'll weaken at 80*C, but doesn't say anything about letting go at that temperature.. I'm sure our cars don't get to 80*C in the engine bay..?

i'd say use sikaflex.. i know they have some high temp silicone stuff.. can't remember the actual name..

if your bonnet is double layered with a gap, can you drill a small hole and then put a nail in it? Or.. just use cooked rice..

I hit up google, and found their website! They don't really say (at least I can't find names) so I contacted them asking :)

Should I be able to find some at Supercheap Auto?

LOL cooked rice

Tiger seal if you can get it in Oz .Used to bond body shells in the uk

If you mean Sikaflex for this, Bunnings sell it for around $35 a tube.
