Hey guys, my name's David and I drive an '02 Legnum, Trigger in colour.
I've had the car for about 6 months now. I've been lurking around these forums for a while and never got around to posting an introduction.. so here I am!

The car at the moment is totally stock, except for some rims which were already on the car from Japan (they're 16"... o_O)
I do have a problem with a misfiring, which I'm assuming are the sparks or coils. Will have to get that fixed when I have some time and money

Thanks guys. The engine bay pic was taken when I got the car. They did a pretty good job in cleaning it up!
And the car is a manual.
I'm located in the Parramatta area, but also frequent Strathfield/burwood area. Hope to see some more VR4s around

Also welcome to the world of misfiring ignition systems, CHristian is fixing that though, do a search for COP. But for a stock car, try cleaning the coilpacks first.
 
Yep, first year student. The 3rd and hopefully last Uni I will be attending.
Are you studying there aswell?

I did search and found that thread, but I'm not much of a mechanic and don't want to screw things up. Anyone in Sydney like to lend a hand??
 
yep mate im happy to lend a hand. im a mechanic so that should help i hope =/ ive done all my own stuff on my legnum and its pretty easy...most things relate very similar to v6 magna in layout ie. spark plug change involves almost identical removal of inlet manifold etc. im in penrith but work in parra so more than welcome to help out outside business hours. hope legnum ownership doesnt COMPLETLEY ruin you financially
 
Cleaning the coil packs is really easy but more of us need to meet up, your place zach?
 
Yeh my place is fine You can literally see mulgoa rd offramp from my place so easy as to find just pick a date :)

At the moment it's treating me ok financially.. Just petrol...
And I would be definitely be up for a home mechanic day!!

Embarrassed to say, but I was an idiot and withdrew from 2 other universities because I didn't like to study. My mindset has changed and I'm back to uni.
Do you drive the galant to uni?
 
Yep keen as for home mech day I have a full fridge of beer and coke! Might start a thread in nsw section for EOI?
