any where to buy cheap fibre glass??

ok. some of you guys already know that i am working on the stealth sub-box. well, does anyone know where to get some cheap fibreglass things? mesh, poly resin and catalyst. they are so expensive~ i did some research on the ebay (cough cough) and hard to find some good stuff. if i can not find anything by friday, i have no choice but buy from the bunnings where everyday high prices are gurranteed..

ive only done a few small projects , and i just got my gear from bunnings . It MAY be worth contacting a place that makes boats or repairs boats (FG ones obviously) and see where they buy there gear from.

Let me look into it my father does a bit of fiberglass on his boats so i will see were he gets it from I think its from a company in Sydney. Dad doesnt spend much money on his stuff for the boats he spends weeks getting a better price so he will know were is cheep.LOL

i wonder if it would pay to make your own FG bonnet?? i would prob try and it would fall apart.lol

dont get it from bunnings it will be very expensive for very little. Try to find an ACME fibreglass or FGI fibre glass international . These are some on the coast but they are probably aus wide. Going to makea mould of my front spoiler and then i'm going to redo it out of Kevlar so that it doesnt shatter everytime my wife nudges a gutter. Would love to do carbon fibre guards and bonnet but have to worry about getting busted with them?? Just recently bought 5 sq metres of glass and 4 L of resin for about $60 off memory

hey joe any good fibreglass supplier will carry carbon ,kevlar and carbon kevlar crossweave

hey if poeple are interested in a carbon fibre evo style bonnet and are willing to put their money where their mouth is i will make them but they wont be legal but they will be light.

Most fibreglass and kevlar bonnets will be legal if aproved by adr its not too hard to get that I can look into this if you want I would be keen to help you get adr aproval if you would like.

Oh and I was unable to contact the supplier today but should be able to speak to them tomorrow.

apparently to get the adr approval involves lots of testing and money!
