hi guys just wondering if anyone has had their auto gearbox strengthened buy a workshop in sydney lately.

i have a leak in my auto gearbox amd a mate thinks its the input shaft seals so im looking for a workshop to get it fixed at. while the box is out might as well get it strengthened.

Whatever you do, do NOT go to Mona Vale Automatic Transmission. They will take more than 3 months to do the work....

Parramatta Automatics I think their name is. Have a Google look. Few members in the past have gone there & it's about $1000 for a full service & strengthening which includes welding the carrier pins too I'm pretty sure.
Give them a call.

Yeah pretty sure it is Parramatta automatics as K_P said. Can you let us know cost and experience too please?

I had my seal replaced, broken wave spring replaced with a solid unit & changed the filter. I honestly don't think there's much potential benefit from strengthening the auto. I noticed a trend that a few auto owners (who spent on strengthening boxes) ended up doing manual conversions down the line.

I'd look at Parramatta Automatics as mentioned above/throughout the thread.
