Has anyone installed one of these kits??

As of today I can confirm that the following is less than half the price and is the same product as above

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/FMIC-MITSUBI...ZAU_Car_Parts_Accessories?hash=item45eeec85eb

Weird thing is, that some of the kit is different, one has a hose, the other is a aftermarket power steering cooler. The cheaper kit does have the piping even tho it's not pictured. And does have the mesh hosing. Oh the steering cooler pipes are different from what I received!!!

Another funny thing that happened was I got no instructions. I hit them up with an email and I got emailed an instruction manual on how to install the autobahn88 kit.. Oh and my silicon hoses have autobahn 88 on them. I bought it tuesday, received friday. They are quick.

Looking through the instructions and realise that the kit in the guide is everything I got, but in those 2 kits there is either one or the other.. Strange..

Ohh and a new quote..
Car wash guy: What car is this?
Me: A Mitsubishi Legnum
Car wash guy: Wow a Mitsubishi, this just has that real nasty look to it!

:P

Interested to see how that cooler goes mate, been tempted by those but havent had any feedback from anyone that has one yet.

Yeah I figured a kit couldn't be too bad. Just before I did the first post I just finished taking off the bumper and headlights for the first time so that was fun :P I will try to fit it tomorrow and take some pictures. I ended up buying a plumb back turbosmart bov aswell so i'll replace the stock one too while im at it! Wish me luck :P

so you bought the cheap one but you got the autobarn88 steering cooler? thats good to know, the autobarn one is exy as

let us know how this goes, i too am interested

So let me get this straight, you bought the cheaper kit and recieved:

The cooler
Two aluminium replacement pipes
Two silicone hoses
Power steering cooler relocation kit
Hose clamps

Which is the same as the expensive kit? Seems like a bargain.
Might have to get one.

I too am extremely interested in how you go

I'm looking for an intercooler at the moment.. I wonder if this one is the way to go :)

Keep us updated ;)

Yes and no, its a different steering cooler. You need that hose stuff to remount the new cooler behind fmic. But mine is bent in such a way that it seems like it goes around something :S

+ about 2 mtrs of braided oil line for the relocation, a whole heap of brackets and screws, zip ties. Oh and I received 4 silicone hoses :O

Yeah everything seems to fit properly but that damn steering cooler, its not the same as in the pictures. All the pipes and cooler fit ace. You don't get any fittings either to connect the hose to factory so I had to butcher mine. Lost a bit of fluid in the process. Tried to catch it all but cause now I'm running longer lines(braided hose) I'm guessing I might need more power steering fluid to get rid of a weird groaning noise. Anyone know how hot these lines get, cause after a couple minutes of the car just idling the piping was warm, not hot I can touch it and not burn myself lol even where I put the line I'm not even sure if it will get enough air :S I noticed my idle was lower too, not rough but definitely lower.

All fitted now, front bar back on. It looks alright the cooler fitted in easy with plenty of room. My camera went flat and somehow corrupted some of my pictures on my sd card. So I didn't get as many :S
