AYC fluid - diff not reservoir. Level check

Hi all,
Have read discussions, threads and guides but just not sure on the following.
Is there any issue just removing the top fill plug on the AYC and checking fluid level (eg small piece of bent wire, pinky finger?) and if low just topping it up?

Unsure if this is a pressurized system and will loose fluid (i dont have equipment to do full drain/refill). Just need to do a check.

The cap had a dipstick as part of it. That is how you check the level

thanks Adam, but not talking about the fluid reservoir in the rear cargo area.
The AYC unit itself has a fill and a drain at the diff. 2 different and seperate fluid systems as I understand.

Oh right you mean the diff oils.
Yes there are 2 sections.
No they arent pressurised
One section takes ATF / AYC flyid. The other takes GL-5 gear oil
