Hi guys,

A short introduction.. my name is Karl and could possibly be the owner of a 1988 Galant VR4 in a matter of weeks if things go to plan.

I've been in the market for one in the last few weeks and have a few in mind. Particularly one in located in Sydney.. altho its only major issue is it's currently running front drive to a rear axle letting go.
Depending on how much it is to fix, I may or may not get it.. all dependent on estimated repair costs.

But yeah, still looking! If anyone can give me more advice, I'm more than happy to listen!

I'll keep everyone updated!

Cheers,
Karl

Welcome to the club, Karl.

Very interesting cars you own there - 1967 Toyota Crown and a UZZ31 Soarer. Cool!

Good to see a long standing Toyota man interested in our AWD grip machines :)

Be sure to check out the OZVR4 Index page for everything you need to know about our cars. This section also includes the Reviews, Road Tests, and Literature thread which you'll find brochures, road tests, reviews etc. of the 8th gen VR-4's.

Enjoy, and holler if you need anything.

Firstly, welcome to our VR4 haunt, you'll meet all sorts here :D

Secondly, and please, dont think I'm being rude, WTF are you doing looking at a car that has a major issue as stated above when there are SO MANY on the market that are almost perfect?

I'd highly recommend holding off and finding a more "pristine" example or at least, have the current owner fix the problem at their expense...

Sorry dude, but there are so many of these puppies on the market, I know you can do better than that :banghead::ROFLMAO::banghead::ROFLMAO:

I agree with Steve. Now that there's so many landed you can pick and choose to your hearts content - don't settle for second best!

And it should be compulsory for you to attend anything that Kat or I go on because I'm not sure if anyone else in our area does!

Thanks guys! The reason I'm interested in this one in particular is because we have access to spare bits and pieces and a whole vr4 we can strip. So depending on how bad it is will detrmine whether we get it or not. Don't worry still have a few to look at aswell!
