Hey guys,

I'll be in Sydney from the 28/12 - 02/01 together with my gf & her sister who is visiting us from Germany... the ladies wished to be on harbour bridge for new years eve so I've to leave my beloved beaches in WA behind and fly into your territory :D

Flight & car already booked, only issue I've got now is to find a place to stay... definitely don't want to stay in a hostel! You've got so many hotels over there, it will take me ages to find the right place, therefore I need your help finding an awesome place hehe.

Beside that prices are ridiculous within those 5 days (still hope to find something less then $1,000), I'm looking for something close to the city centre with a nice view?!? Much appreciated if anyone of you'd share your insider tips with me (y)

Wish to be on Harbour Bridge at New Years?
Good luck with that........

Anywhere in/near the city at that time is going to be expensive dude.

Hit up a forum member & throw a few dollars to stay at their place lol...
Is the German sister single ? :tongue_smilie:

She is! I know it'll be expensive, but what can I say against 2 of them

If someone has a place to stay I wouldn't mind putting a few $$$ on your next project, hehe

I think you need to forget Sydney and come to Auckland :) We have a harbour bridge too, and I'm known for catering for single girls exceptionally well :D

(waits for an uproar from Kat)

Uproar..... :crying: ...... Upchuck :p

Haha well if the sister wants to stay at mine ;) LOL

But really umm..

Sydney on NYE is insane around Circular Quay (the harbour basically), like ridiculously NUTS lol.. My friends and I usually stay out of the city for NYE because it's such a pain to get there and back during the NYE times.. But if you're already in the city, then that's cool :)

The Swissotel on Market st is pretty much below the Centre Point Tower, reasonable pricing and nice rooms..

World Tower is on George St right in the heart of the CBD, very nice building and quality rooms..

Shangri-la is probably booked out, but worth a shot, it's at The Rocks with a view of the Harbour Bridge and Circular Quay..

Four Seasons Hotel (not the rubbers company lol) is next to the Shangri-la and has the same kind of views!

Wherever you stay in the CBD is usually about 20 mins max walk to Circular Quay/Harbour Bridge/Opera House so it isn't too bad really :) (depending on how fast you walk lol)
