Guys

Ive searched forum pretty well and have only found that the Eclipse is the bestest match for engine mounts....

My top drivers side mount is gone and i must replace it asap

Ive searched for eclipses and everything else and the pic looks different to the one on my car.

Can anyone point me in the right direction as to where i can source

Ive found these but the mounting holes and shape of the bracket is very different to what ive got.

i think the eclipse one above is the correct one but im not sure can anyone confirm so my confidence is a bit higher to order this?

Thanks

I believe it may be the 94-98 one from memory...

I would go with a set of the prothane inserts...

There used to be a thread specifying the mounts you need but it appears to have been made viewable only by donators. I cant remember 100% but im pretty sure its the 02-05 eclipse v6 mount inserts your after.

Hmmmmmm....the mounting holes on the bracket dont look the same as the one on the car the centre hole looks like its set back more from the other two .......anyone else confirm this is the right one?

Is it the mount itself or the insert your looking for?

Yeah cant find the thread anywhere and i believe i did see it on here somewhere

You can buy the insert??????

Didnt know that was looking for the whole unit complete

Doesnt look like the rubber part is interchangeable

Yeah most poeple just change the inserts, including myself in which case that year is the right insert im pretty sure, might not be the right mount though.

Can be interchanged, just need to hit them with sumin lol,

prothane make the inserts, ive replaced just that one of mine - made no difference to the ride being rough or anything, not noticed vibrations, if you want rubber you'll need new mounts....

I replaced all mine not so long ago using the Eclipse Prothane mounts and the Eclipse front motor mount aswell (with modified mount)

The Prothane inserts are from the 00-03 V6 Eclipse. I can't find the link to the ebay store I bought them from, but I did keep one of the boxes which has part number 13-509 Eclipse mtr mnt (LT) insert V6 00-03 on it.

I bought a full set of mount from emmanuel so I could fit everything up without taking the car off the road, so I have a full spare set of old mounts if you want to do the same thing. I hock em off to you for what I paid Emmanuel if you like..?

I believe this is the kit i purchased, and it came REALLY fast. The front mount insert is the only one which wont fit, it requires the actual mount from that car as the insert size is slightly different

changing the mount itself is easy as, the only time consuming part is taking the damn old rubber one out, with its difficult metal ring.. i attacked it with a saw, though if you have access to a press, you'll have it alot easier..

edit - the 13-509 part is the prothane part number for one of the mounts in this kit. This kit ive linked is the 13-1903, and contains this part and the others in it..

Old mounts as in the ones that were on your car previously?

Will the insert from a 3.0L magna fit by any chance?

Yeah that's the same kit I purchased, I threw all the other boxes out and just kept one for some reason. I also got eclipse front mount so I could use the prothane insert in that kit too.

As car as getting the inserts out of the mounts, I struggeld with a saw for 2 of them, then took the others to a suspension shop who only charged me twenty bucks to get them out with press...worth every penny IMO

There is a pretty good guide for doing the inserts & actually getting all the mounts in and out in the guides section. I'm pretty sure you could donate like $5 and be able to see it.

DEFINATELY worth every penny.. jeez, $20... thats so much better than spending 2-3 hours trying to hack out the metal ring.

Yup. Inserts are obviously shagged but the mounts themselves are fine

Yeah my mount is fine just the rubber insert is gone is hell clunky dont really like driving it whilst its like this but thanks for the offer

Sorry for dumb question but im assuming you had to buy the whole kit not just the part needed?

If so were you able to use the other parts aswell???

you can buy each insert seperately or as the kit, personally i dont see why you would just get 1 when you might as well get them all, saves on postage and you can just have them sitting there till you're ready to install them ;)
