QLD Buying a Leggie

Hi everyone,

My name is Lewis and I live on the Gold Coast.

Im new to the site and thought it would be the best place to ask a few questions about buying a Legnum. I don't know much about these cars but I've always liked them and am keen to learn about them. I have a 5-10 thousand dollar budget as it is only my second car and was wanting to know what are some common issues to look out for when buying a used model.

I'm also keen to know how hard these cars are to find parts for as well.

Hi Lewis and welcome. Your best option would be to check out the for sale threads on here for honest cars.

There's also a black Galant on Gumtree that has all the important maintenance bits done already. Said he would sell it for 10k, have a sus!

Things to look out for:
-tie rod ends
-missfire (coil packs, plugs)
-swaybar bushings
-boost cuts
-leaky turbos
-rust underneath rear of car
-rough, slow, sloppy shifts on autos
