hey peoples

well to start off with im new to the legnum only had it late december it handles awesum its fast and its stylin as !! i have tein coil overs. so now since i have it at the height i want (i know as you lower the car the camber/castor is also put out) so i noticed the other day i was out with some mates at mount nebo going down the mountin i noticed the back was pushing the frount (too much grip in the rear whitch is pushing the frount) so im thinking i should wash some grip off the rear by taking camber out so the wheels arent digging in so much//so has any one played with there camber caster ?

Surely you'd be better off trying to increase grip at the front rather than decrease grip in the rear?

yeah thats true cause the back is very stable doesnt want to step out at all through the corners good idea never thought of that hey thanks !!

If you lower the front more then you will get more camber at the front, and in doing so increase grip at that end.

Eventually though at really low settings all the suspension arms are out of their designed range at the car starts to handle like poo.

yeah im as low as i can go (with out suspension sag) it nearly bottoms out as it is !!!

going to get some toe out dialied in and she will be shimick !!!

awesome news. ive got my legnum getting complied now and it also has tien coilovers. what size rims do you have on it and have you got any photos up on here of how low it is? im gettin some 19" rims when i have the cash and wana no how low i can go....

Search on the forums about wheels. 19's will ride very hard and Im pretty sure you will have to get the guards rolled, even if the car is only slightly lowered. 17's and 18's seem to be the safe choices, and you might not need to roll the guards depending on how low you wanna go.

You can run 19's with a similar rolling radius and offset to the stock wheels and not need to get the guards rolled at all.

If you have Tein HAs, check out the pics of my car as it is close to as low as I can get it with those coilovers. I'm running 18s and I can't think of any reason why you'd go bigger...

Remember that big heavy 19 inch chromies are going to make your car noticably slower. They say that every extra kg you add on your wheels is equivalent to carrying 10kg in the car. So wheels that are even 1kg each heavier than stock will be like carrying 40kg in your passenger seat!

you have a car that sticks to the ground like shit to a blanket so why ruin it ??

yeah the only reason i was looking at getting 19's is coz i had 18's on my verada wagon and they never really looked big enough. the ssr's on the legnum on your link look awesome ygoslo. i guess i will decide when i get the car lowered and see how nice the 18's look. you guys made some great points. plus the money i save i could upgrade intercooler..... woooo!!!
