Car Bra

Anyone had one done?

Before I bought my car, I got a quick quote for around $550.

Reckon its worth it?

Prime use is for long drives, down torquay, great ocean rd etc..

Prevent those little stone chips and big bugs!

Any opinions?

p.s I've noticed they've sorta gone out of fashion! When I was younger, all the commodores and such had them.. I wonder what happened...

cant you buy invisable one?? i think car toys sell them. ive seen then at a car show befor. they are like a thick plastic that sticks to the paint and cant be seen.

I would rather get my bumper chipped and repainted once a year that have one. i know people got some marks from them and they seem to be a pain in the ass..

thought about it getting a car bra, but cause of the weather in Oz I think the material will shrink faster than usual...

but they are stupid. cost a lot, wear out paint, look completly tacky and look stupid.

i reckon u will get a build up of grime around the edges of it. so not really being of any benefit.

plus when i see one on a car i think "douchebag, ur car would look better with small chips on it".

Trapped dirt scuffs the paint especially around the edges and the exposed paint fades quicker than the paint under the bra. Besides, most of my stone chips have come from driving in the city. In the country there isn't so much other traffic around to worry about it.

Makes sense about dirt getting trapped, never actually thought of that... Considering my iPhone gets like that with a cover on that hasnt been taken off in ages.

Looks like that idea completely went out the window!

Chips it is!

I mean - im sure its not hard to get the pearl white paint matched if you have the codes right?
