Hey Guys,

I recently did a De-Coke on my car and now it has no balls.

I hooked my boost gauge back up and it is getting 15PSI in the plenum so no probs with leaks etc. The car goes OK but is lacking the punch you get when the turbos kick in.

I think it could be the Carby Cleaner has wrecked my CAT and is restricting air flow. The car does seem a little quiter but it could be all in my head. I did a code check on it and the engine light comes on for a bit and then i get two sets of two flashes which i think could be the crank angle sensor.

I have checked all connections and plumbing and everything seems ok.

Any ideas?

Cheers...

Check the plugs if you can maybe even look at the oxygen sensor as the "de cokeing" may have cloged up something on the way out of the engine. my 2c ??

Crank angle sensors in my experience don't just fail- they tend to be a bit erratic before finally stoping so you "should" have some warning.

Mine however has no spark so i hope its just the plug as i changed the timing and all other belts about a month ago.
Hope that helps?

Definitly a probable blocked cat converter. If you used enough carburettor cleaner, it will definitly damage the cat.
