The sensor on the cat is not used as this is a cat temp sensor and is not needed when the cat is removed.
The lambda sensor is unaffected by this and can be found just after the turbo in the front pipe.
We have found better performance gains from de cat pipes that don't retain the cat temp sensor as this acts as a restriction with the probe slowing exhaust gas flow.
The pipe is a direct replacement for your existing Cat but with larger 76MM pipe and will increase cars BHP as it does not restrict exhaust gas flow.

Not worth it. 1 or 2 kw, and the fine is somewhere around the $4-5,000 mark I believe.

that shit hurt my eyes please dont do that again!

luckily we have no exhaust emissions here in NZ and i don't run a cat,

few extra ponies better throttle response, and more throaty sound

so worth doing in ur opinion gly? ill just go to a muffler shop get it done shouldnt cost too much

your call,

not illegal to do it here in nz, so no fine for me,

id go for a race cat if it was illegal to remove it

The pipe from that ad isn't stainless steel just mild steel. The one on my brothers car will probably be replaced this year and it's only been fitted since November or December of last year and has suffered from serious corrosion

if u hav stainless steel exhaust next to a mild steel decat, the mild steel will corrode over a short period of time.

try to get all your exhaust the one type of metal.

its got to do with electron transfer and what not, same way they put sacrificial anodes on bridges and jetties and docks etc

This is just very poor quality steel as I have a part mild steel/stainless systems and have not experienced the same corrosion level as the decat and I have had the same system for nearly 4 years.
My brothers exhaust is entirely mild steel so no problem with mixed metals

if the system is all one materials then no prblems

but if u hav part staino and part mild u could be in trouble. if u hav enough gaskets seperating each material so there is no contact then u should be fine
