Going to pull the dump pipes off my front cut this weekend to take around to my mate's so we can jig them up. Once we have an order of flanges back from laser cutter we'll get to work.

don't want to step on anyones toes, but with pipes for sale only on the other side of the country, makes sense to do them locally for the QLD guys.

2.5" to 3" Stainless should work out to be about $400, mild only marginally less.
Who's interested?

Here's a pic of the original ones that we'll copy (and modify slightly)

i am keen to see about it

i'd be keen for a set of flanges actually (or even just the .DXF file, or whatever you send off to the laser cutters)....

i want to make my own dump pipes, and that was my biggest concern!

Is a 3" dump necessary for such small turbos? surely 2.5" dump from each turbo to 3" collector would be more suited, and save a bit of $$? Otherwise, sounds interesting - being in Adelaide, QLD or WA freight doesnt bother me! ;)

that's similar to my idea lee, i'm going to try twin 2.5" pipes running all the way back to where the cat should attach, then join both of them into the 3" exhaust i'm about to get. :)

nonono, into 3" not 3" from the turbos. I think it's 2.5 just looking at it, but won't know until I actually unbolt it from the engine.

im doing my own dump pipes,

i have 2.5" from each turbo flanges ready to be picked up... mike has them, and the file for laser cutting aswell i believe?

im interested in whoever can get their dump pipes done first with some dyno results to back them up! In the end shipping from anywhere is the country is no big deal if its the right product.

im not even fussed about the dyno results.. a gain is a gain, and i cant imagine the possibility of a loss :P

Trav.

I would be intrested in what you produce. How long are you expecting it to take? I am in no hurry, but an expected timeframe would be good. I suppose the freight charges wouldn't be much from WA, but a little competition never hurts the consumer. We can then make an informed choice ourselves.

guys I'll know more tomorrow night after I've been around to my mate's to have a good look at them. In the end, I won't be doing them to be 'competing' with RPW. Afterall, we'll be manufacturing them in our backyard just for something to do, whereas RPW have a business to run. I just thought since I've got a set here why not make up a few then if someone wants a set, well make it just that little bit easier for the local guys.

I'll be getting ones custom made. They'll have a separate wastegate pipe like the real good RB25/26 style. Good for getting the most out of it.

It won't be for a few months though. Gotta get the brembos on first :D

i think there is a bit on confusion...

dump pipe's are actually the short pipes that come out of the turbo (and usually join the wastegate/turbo exhaust in either a bellmouth, or split design, or a seperate screamer for the wastegate), and front pipes are the ones that join the dump pipes to the cat/rest of the exhaust.

paul - are you getting the dumps/front pipes made up as one, or seperate? i'd be keen to see what split dumps on the vr4's are like, as i know a split dump is a huge improvement over a bellmouth dump on an RB25.

dump pipes For Sale 2.5 off turbo to join then 3" all to the back full system

Have taken A Custom system off a 2000 Legnum that has just come in to the country and want to sell full system looks like done not many kilometers Like New

Not sure if it will fit Sedan

Has dump pipes 2.5" off turbo to join of the cat then 3" all to the back full system with JDM turbo canon

if interested pm me or call 0409862025

im after $1000 or $900 with factory exhaust in good condition not rusty one's

Trav,
I was going to make a set myself, but if you guys are going to do it great.

I've included a pic of my skyline dump which is what i'd be after. The split dump is much better than the "drain pipe" style.

I think 2.5 into an 3 inch collector would suit 95% of pundits here?

Cheers

Simon.....oh yer and i thought that was my front cut!

I'll have to take the car to my mates workshop in Bega again for him to really spend time and design the best system for the car. It really just depends on the room, as he has my underbody H brace to deal with too. I'll let you know when it gets closer, as I just sold my guitar amp which I don't use anymore for $1295, so a bit more saving and I'll get a bunch of stuff done at once :D

discussed it with my mate last night, he's going to whack a jig together and start on them, shouldn't be much work in them and he's going to improve on the collector a bit. Will put photos up when there's something worth taking photos of.

Simon, we'll have a look into the split dump to see how difficult it's going to be.

oh, and they're definately 2.5" into 3"

I want!!!
I want!!!
I want!!!!!

patience Kev.......they'll be done soon. We may even do a full exhaust, since we'll have to do one for mine anyway.
