I didn't really know where to post this, but it will contain pictures, so the Pictures thread seemed as good as any....I should probly include a bandwidth warning for any dial uppers out there.

On Sunday I went to the Toymods dyno day at SAS in Silverwater in Sydney. I threw the Legnum on the dyno and snapped a few shots of some of the other cars there, mostly old school Toyotas. A few Sprinter/Trueno/Levins, a few ST185 GT4s, 7M and 1J powered Cressidas, even a bug-eyed STI and a Liberty B4.

Here's just a couple of my favs:

Mid 60s (I think) Crown Deluxe on airbags. The pic doesn't do this car justice...very very nice in the flesh

Turbo-charged 18RG powered RA25 Celica

Nice Chaser

Easily my favourite of the day. This thing was pretty nutty, carbon doors, bonnet and boot, projector headlamps, heart shaped tow hook and ran a twin carby 2TG. Made decent power too. Oh and he managed to stretch a 225 tyre onto what must have been a 12 or 13" rim.

This Corolla was just beautiful. Clean as they come. I think it made a touch over 200rwkw.

Another nice Corolla, I think this had an SR20 as well

And...the Legnum and dyno sheet

I was reasonably happy with this, but I don't know what a dead stock Legnum/Galant should be producing...seemed about right though.

I'm not happy with the Air/fuel curve...it was waaaaay too rich, going off the graph for a while. For those with more experience with teh standard tune, is this normal or am I having some problems??

151awkw is pretty good Mick. Yours isn't stock though?

My Super has only hard intake pipes & does 129awkw.

So who came out on top on the day? & more importantly, did anyone pick themselves up a 2nd hand fridge or washing machine? ;)

Performance-wise, mine's dead stock Brad. The only thing I've done is changed out the standard filter for the Ralliart panel, but that's not going to do much....I haven't touched the motor yet. I have super-ticky lifters though, will that give me more power? :)

I didn't stay til the end, I left with about 15 cars to go and the leader was 260 something wheel kilowatts out of a turbo 4AG in a FWD corolla I think. Either that or a turbo Sprinter. I'll have to check the Toymods Forum for results.

I offered to take some whitegoods for them but just got a facefull of attitude for parking over their driveway intsead.

^^ Wow makes mine look even worse haha.. Lot of mods, less power? Even tho after putting on the boost controller it was going faster.. So mine must've been shocking when it was bone stock?

They should make around 140-145kw ATW for a bone stock Series 1 auto.

Mine's a manual. And definitely stock. Only mods I've done are suspension, brakes, wheels, clutch, prothane engine mounts and the air filter. Oh and I have a cold air intake mod (ie air con ducting from the airbox down to the passenger fog light), but seeing that in action under full load I'd say it was reducing power not increasing it. It was crumpling badly under full acceleration, causing quite a restriction.

OMG OMG! That orange Rolla is sooooo sick.

I was talkin to the cat that owns it, it was built by him and his mates...they did paint and all. The detail was pretty amazing and it still gets driven every weekend he reckons which is good to see with something like that

I spoke to you on the day, Mick. I asked you to come to the Kiama Cruise before you left.

Seeing as there's a thread for the Toymods Dyno day I'll post my photos up too.

Ready? :D

Hey Dimi what's the silver 2 door coupe in the 2nd pic of your last post?

I'm guessing those Cressidas had 1JZs fitted?
I am seriously looking at getting one myself & having some RWD fun for a while..

Oh, that's a Levin :)
Yeah those Cressidas had 1JZ's fitted in them! They sounded awesome on the dyno.
Whoa, hang on. You're interested in Cressidas with 1JZ's?!
Is that you Brad? :ROFLMAO:

Thought it must've been a family daycare convention with all those Camry's there :P

Your cars lookin great Dimi, and nice power figure to go with it :)
