ECU Database - which do you have??

I also have this one which is not from a VR4 (it is from a V6 Galant) but does feature a MH7203FA chip and the 6 pattern of chips in a row that the VR-4 ones have

Judder - spare so date unknown - unknown - MR507734 - MH7203FA - JE331B35404B - Plastic case

What is different about it though is it only has 3 plugs, but each plug has 3 rows of pins rather than the 2 rows on each of the 4 plugs that the VR-4 ones have

I wonder if it could be used if the wiring was redone into the different height plugs?

A small tid bit: Manual TH magna uses a JE331B154D with a 7202 processor.

I've got 1-2 here, yet to flash the VR4 rom on and test but I suspect it would work for those seeking a reflashable ecu.

I am still looking for a 7202 or 7203 for my PFL Legnum VR4. I have a 7201 currently.

While on the subject of ECUs does anyone know where to source the sockets that the ECU wires plug in to?

I'm thinking of building a piggy back lead for my ECU so that I can patch my boost and air flow controllers into this bit of wiring rather than the main loom and already have a set of plugs for a VR4 that was being parted out.

Many thanks

Since I have a 97 PFL with a 7201 ecu an upgrading the ECU to a 7202 plastic ECU. Would it makes sense to upgrade the transmission ECU to the plastic version as well?

No benefit to it unless you want to flash the TCU to change shift times and pressures, etc

But the autos can be somewhat of a grenade if not treated well.

I just successfully reflashed this ECU with ECUFlash 1.44 and Tactrix cable, using the existing definitions but edited them to match the memmodel to be "H8539FA" in all the files.
