ECU Interceptors - What's available for the VR-4?

Been thinking about getting a ECU interceptor installed and the biggest problem I've faced is trying to find out what's available and is able to be installed with the Legnum.

I was hoping to get a HALTECH Miniceptor installed but after a phone call to HALTECH I was informed that as they haven't done one before they're not going to support the installation. Unless of course I take the car down to NSW and they do it at the head office/workshop.

I considered a Apexi Neo but I didn't know how well it would work. My next thought is a Greddy E-Manage Ultimate. They has a wiring harness which is custom made for EC5W chassis. I've found a workshop which will install and tune for me but they are fairly expensive to my way of thinking.
Has anyone had any experiences with them before or can any one recommend another unit and workshop which will fit and tune.

cheers

There are heaps of people running the eManage blue and Ultimates on ClubVR4. The Haltech stuff is sold here in WA at RPW. Send Mitsiman a pm or he will turn up on this thread like a rash now u have mentioned the word Haltech.

yeah but WA is a little while away from QLD!

Unless maybe David could sell you a pre-tuned ecu that is going to be a 90% match for your Legnu, then you could go into any haltech shop and get it finished up by them.

The people at HALTECH wont touch it because they don't know how to wire it up. Guy said something about "trigger switching". So Brad if you can supply a wiring diagram that would be terrific.

Haltech does a plug and play loom for the VR4 to suit the E8. There's about $500 price difference between an interceptor and an E8, might as well go the E8.

I can't find any info on it. You'd think that they'd know all the required connection points

I can garauntee that the Haltech interceptor will fit the vehicle no problems. This is one of the benefits of specialising in Mitsubishi and Haltech. Essentially Haltech don't have a wiring harness diagram but if you were to wire it up the same as a Mitsubishi Magna it will work I garauntee it. It will use the same crank trigger / air flow meter as a Mitsubishe TE - TJ Magna. The only thing you have to do is find on the back of the ECU the correct wires to hook it up to.

Check for a post coming soon from RPW in these forums in regards to fitment of the haltech range for these vehicles.
