Hey all members

I have set up a group buy discount on the below listed Amsoil products with the QLD disrtibuter. Carl from Enginecare Systems has agreed to a 20% discount for us if we purchase a bulk order in full, in one go, in box qty's.

Can everyone please check these items out and relay back to me your commitments on products & qty's/amounts. I have told him i will get back to him in around a week and that we would look to purchase next week 18/09/09.

I was also thinking of a home mechanics day of sorts so we could all install our fresh fluids then? I may have a suitable location here at work, nice big open flat concrete carpark out the back.

Oh and as far as freight is concerned, i can deliver the product to our Gold Coast members personally and may also be able to arrange delivery to Bris (i have to confirm this but more than likely be ok if your area is close to our delivery route)

Manual Transmission & Transaxle Gear Lube 75W-90Product Code: MTGQT-EA - Manual Transmission Fluid
Synthetic Universal Transmission Fluid Product Code: ATFQT-EA - Auto Transmission Fluid but can also be used for AYC Fluid and Power Steering Fluid
Signature Series 0W-30 100% Synthetic Motor Oil Product Code: SSOQT-EA - Fully Synthetic Motor Oil
Severe Gear 75W-90 Product Code: SVGQT-EA - Gear Oil to be used in the Transfer Case and Rear Diff
Propylene Glycol Antifreeze and Engine Coolant Product Code: ANT1G-EA - No stock
AMSOIL Ea Oil Filters Product Code: EAO22-EA - Engine Oil Filter
Engine Oil Flush - Engine Oil Flush, to be run in the car before draining your existing engine oil.

**EDIT**

Ok all, i have attached a copy of the Aus Post postage calculator guide and a new quote i have received from our QLD distributer. He has given us a 20% discount providing we buy in box qty's. This has made a substancial reduction in cost especially the price on the SS0 0W-30 and the ATF (only about $20 per bottle more then Mitsi SPIII), these are now very cheap. You can look at the price and add on the postage via Auspost and work out if it is worth it to you.

I am willing to now help our interstate members take advantage of this by arranging freight for you. Yesterday i received a quote from the SA distributor Kath Pavier, and the prices were a bit dearer (not even including post) see below

Hi Trevor

Thank you for your enquiry. Below are the prices ( EX GST ) for Amsoil products.

SSQ5L (0W-30 5 litre, 2 x 5 litre per carton) $132.61
EaO20 Oil Filter (last shipment) 30.91
MTGQT (last shipment) per quart 23.82
ATFQT (last shipment) per quart 17.26
SVGQT per quart 16.35
AEFCN 16 oz bottle 7.35
TSO01 (0W-30 quart bottle) this is stock that was available
before the SSO came onto the market 19.23

The last shipment was more expensive due to the exchange rate of .6500. I can offer you a discount of 10% plus GST, freight not included. I am not sure of the freight cost as this alters due to the size of the carton and the destination.
I have dealt with Ross Lawson for some time and found him to be a very helpful man, sorry he has had to sell his business.
Hope this will help you, please contact me if you require any further information.

Regards, Kath

The only thing i will add is that on the quote that i have attached, the price on the filter has gone down to $25.20+ and the SVGQT price is now $14.71+

So if any interstate members need or want some Amsoil (the products supplied on the quote) let me know as i reckon you could get it sent to you from here in QLD for cheaper than sourcing it within your state.

Could one of the mods please change the title of this thread to : EOI - Amsoil Group Buy ( All States )

Workshop day sounds like a good idea, unfortunately I don't really need anything at the moment...

Is their manual transmission oil GL-4 or GL-5? My gear change has been getting a bit sticky lately, maybe I could change the transmission fluid (not sure what's in there at the moment)

Clicky

"It is formulated specifically for maximum protection in the most demanding manual transmission and transaxle applications where an extreme pressure GL-4 gear lube is specified, including those where high horsepower/high torque engines and towing or heavy loads increase transmission stress."

I am keen for a workshop day. We might just have to start making date recommendations.

I'm also OK for fluids at the moment but i'd be up for coming to a DIY meet to catch up and learn a bit more :)

i'd be after 2x oil filter and 2x 5L SS 0w30 oil :)

when is the GB payment needed?

I am gathering everyones interest and what products & qty's we all need then going back to them with it. I have indicated to him that we will look to buy all that we need mid September so payment required around then.

Yeah I would be up for a DIY day..maybe you can learn me sum stuff about your souped up Magnums....lol!!!!

Hmm, this could be quite handy to get all the oils and filter at once ready for The Big Service that I guess should be done soon, even though the car only has 65k on it.

I'd probably be interested in however much is needed for that :)

Bump

To all Brisvegas members, i may be able to have your purchase delivered to you free of charge. Let me know what you need and i will work out how to get it to ya.

Again, all Gold Coast members, i can deliver your purchases to you personally or you will be able to pick the product up direct from my office at Oxenford or the Amsoil dealers shop in Mudgeeraba.

:sleep:Bumpity bump bump

Looks like its just you and me Christian, not sure if we'll get a 15% discount though:rolleyes:

Matt, you could start with a filter, engine oil, diff & transfer case oil. Your have a manual dont you?

I dont care about discount..

just confirming that i want 2x oil filter and 2x 5L SS 0w30

No dramas Christian.

I have contacted the distributor and i am waiting for him to send me rates.

No worries Matt, i will put you down for what i have mentioned + the manual tranny fluid

As for the AYC, i am not sure if the Amsoil ATF will work as i am sure with our AYC we should run Mitsi SPIII only. Either way the Mitsi stuff will be cheaper than the Amsoil product and you only need 1L.

If we do a DIY day I'm chucking up the offer of copious amount of beer for helping me get my damn trans cooler on. :P No flat areas to work on the car up at mine so haven't had a chance to even try and install it. I'm getting paranoid though and I'm not really comfortable hitting the strip or anything before it's got the cooler in.

I may have a perfect location for our home mechanics day, i will arrange and let everyone know. Then we can start working out a date to do it.

Guys, please take a look at the quote attached.
The Amsoil rep has got back to me and said..

Hi Trevor
Unfortunately the best discount i can do with this size order is 10%
We only have 3 X eao20 in stock.
Quote is attached
Kind Regards Carl

...What do you guys think? I dont think it is that much of a discount. The auto fluid is waaaaay more than i thought it would be.
