Looking around my car I have noticed a blocked off factory hole for a sub. Does anyone have a factory sub? Has anyone put a sub in here? Is there factory wiring hidden there somewhere?
Cheers,
Jason

as far as i remember between the 2x 6 3/4" hole.. there's a hole there for an 8" sub.. i think..

mine definitely didn't come with it.. and no there's no visible wiring for future/possible add-on.. would've been nice though, simple and nice..

Looks like an 8" sub will fit in there but couldn't find any wiring.
Here's a pic :)

Haha go mitsi! What a great idea - pity they don't have 12 to 10 to 8" step-downs bolted in... now THAT would be awesome!

Jase? Your banner is gay, dude :p

at first I thought ya meant my banner was happy :) then I realised you were being mean :(
**FIXED**
My Bro had a EF Fairmont Ghia a few years back and that had a factory sub, sounded ok too.
Chucked a sicky today so I am off to Autobarn to look at subs now :)

Jason I had an EF Fairmont Ghia for some time, and it had a Jaycar 8" sub in the parcel shelf. Sounded pretty good for an 8" and was cheap too.. Definately consider them over a sony/other cheaper "name" brands ;)

how did ya get the pic in ya banner Lee?

His EF had some factory optional stereo in it. I think the sub was behind the back seat (might have been on the parcel shelf, dunno) with a 12 stacker and more speakers

^Yup the same stereo mine had - ford optional premium stere. The sub was an 8" on the parcel shelf... but the previous owner had replaced the factory paper cone sub with a jaycar one, sounded good!
as for the pic in the sig, I posted how to in the offtopic chat ;)
