Fan recall on early cars

What work was actually performed? EC5W0020504 never had it done.

I'm assuming it's related to this.

I think mine had the recall done but has done the same kind of thing.

I'm having intermittent blower motor issues. It will work some days but not others, could this be related? Is this just behind the glove box?

Yes, behind/under the glove box, you will see the wires going to it. It's below where the isostatic purifier is if you have one

Okay so I pulled the plug and it looks just like that, all burned to shit and its actually cracked. Is there a newer resistor and possibly a pigtail to replace this and not have the same issue? Is the new resistor used in other Mitsubishi models? I live in Canada so parts from Japan can be an issue.

I've seen very similar resisters in other Mitsubishi's, but haven't confirmed if they would work

So what's the info for the recall? Is the resistor the issue? Can you replace the plug and possibly pigtail?

So the part number MR460293 is the updated design? If I get one of these and replace the pigtail I should fix the issue?

7801A175 is the time line in place of MRxxxxx

My one is the MR283263. ASA doesn't list a revised part number but Amayama shows another part number too.
The part number applies to all 8th gen JDM Galant and Legnums.
