So 5 months after buying a 98 legnum vr4 and having the motor crap itself 10min after buying it I've finally been able to drive it for the first time over $7k later new engine from a 2001 vr4 with 108,000km new transfer case, water pump, altinator, timing belt kit, coil pack, new bushes and rubbers, 4 new tyres etc for RWC.Don't know if I'm going to keep it anymore as I'm over this car but will see if I grow to like it again. I'm trying to find out what a part is called so I can replace it old one had been broken and glued in place by old owner.

Just block both hoses going to it, I believe its just a valve that gives the engine a little bit more air when you turn the steering wheel at idle, pretty sure we could do without it.
If you do and the car stalls when turning then I was wrong...

Gav I'm just over it. Forgot how much of a hassle imports can be and how quick they can burn a hole in the pocket.

Here are a few pics but it's up for sale haven't got time or patients to deal with old cars it's been off the road almost 6mths since the day I bought it. I've spent probably way more than I should have but at least the next owner won't inherent what I did from the prick that sold me it. They will get a Legnum that probably hasn't run the way it does now since it's early years of life. They can enjoy it and hopefully take care of it.

Yeah I tried to think I have to be a paid member so might do that this Arvo and list it plus all the usable bits of the old motor. I have driven it here and there trying to find the rattle which I think I successfully did but still running it in so haven't experienced it's full potential yet.
