Yep, they aren't for sale on this side of the world new yet, but there are a few imports over here already. It's basically a bigger version of the lancer.

There is also that Ralliart version with AWD and apparently a turbo..... kinda like a detuned Evo

im pretty sure its still what we would call a 'lancer', same chassis as the lancer here, just sold as a galant in japan?

It is a Jap spec Galant Fortis which is identical to a Lancer, just a different badge

i found out its the lancer ralliart one below the evo and above the vrx lancer.

Strangely, I've seen Galant Fortis's in NZ. Quite a few car dealers, mostly Ford, Toyota and Nissan are bringing them in and pricing them lower than the equivilant Lancer model available new from Mitsi. Good way to establish brand rivalry
