Radiator pipes very pressurized

Hey just bought new silcone rad hoses, unfortunatley the hoses are very pressurized, the car is not over heating it is sitting in the centre of the gauge, the top pipe seems to be a bout 15mm bigger than when it is at a temperature.

Could the hoses be highly pressurized because of a problem with the thermostat.

Any comments will be helpfull.

cheers occy

Dont thrash it at all man, you'll just kill your engine. The ECU regularly watches sensor data to determine the RON value of your fuel, which in turn alters timing and the air/fuel ratio. So like Brad said, just fill it with normal 98 and it will sort itself out.

Your dad on the other hand...? I'd be making him pay for a new set of spark-plugs just for shit's and giggles.

thanks for the tips so are you saying install new plugs reset ecu and drive it easy for say 50kms do you think it would be sweet to put the new plugs in today with that brew of 91,98 and octane booster cos theyre worth $150

ok guys anyone want to tell me how to reset ecu goign to get plugs now.

Resetting ECU - unplug negative battery terminal then turn your lights on and leave that for about 5-10mins to let the electrical currents drain.
