Can anyone explain what a g sensor is and where it is located on a 98. Galant.. I have an error code and cant get the rwc without fixing the issue .any help is much appreciated

From memory under the centre console behind the hand brake. I think that was what saw when i wrecked that galant i had.

Thats correct you take the insert out of the console under armrest and should be able to see them

Confirmed in ASA Section 54 Sub section 610 G sensor centre console.
For all we know it could simply be unplugged really, Get to it tomorrow Jimmy!!!

i took out the centre/middle console bit today to have a look at the g sensor.. everything seems fine except for some black tape on the plastic connector which i thought was odd.. after i reconnected it the check engine light turned off then 20 seconds later turned back on... without it plugged the ABS and AYC lights stayed on as well as the engine light.. i dont think the g sensor is faulty but to rule out every possibilty i think i should replace is just to be safe.. any one have any other ideas?

p.s. before this i never done a thing besides fill up petrol and change the oil so im abit of a noob
