G'day all, the name's Niall, im not a mitsubishi owner , but i am a fan of them especialy the galants, i lived in the Uk for a few years so i got used to seeing them there, but over here they really stand out .

Anyway, ive got a Nissan 300zx twin turbo and i recently came across a really good looking grey galant in redcliffe so i thought id do a bit of forum stalking and see some more pics of the car and the mod list. lol.

Ive noticed on your dyno list that the numbers seem to be quite low considering how quick ive seen these cars are, im guessing its to do with 4wd on the dyno?

So just thought id say that ive had a bit of a look around you guys have some great looking cars, ill have one of these on my list when i get sick of only having 2 doors!

<<guilty lol

yeah.. i pm'd you what mods :P you can see more pics in the members rides thread haha.
Guessing you saw the sticker on the window?

nice 300 btw. very quick.

Welcome bud how long till you trade in the Nissan lol

G'day Niall, I love the 300's, such an awesome car. Just a total pain in the ass to work on from what I've been told. Took one for a spin a few years back and loved it! Actually trying to convince some one to buy a convertible 300 at the moment!

Make your self at home dude.

thanks for the comments guys, yeah the 300's are tricky to work on, i havent seen under the bonnet of a VR4 but im guessing they are tightly packed too, maybe not as bad as a 3000gt though. lol

heres a pic of my beast, going on the dyno on saturday, should be around 250rwkw.

there are some real shitters going around, these cars are getting to that age now, same as R32GTR's , people have mistreated them and then they are just rooted.

Im a mechanic on the northside and one on the only 300zx specialists in brisbane and 90% of the zeds i see are ropey old sht heaps.

Just letting you guys know that i put my 300zx on the dyno yesterday and it did 368rwhp/275rwkw at between 15 and 16psi, pretty happy with that.

Great figure mate. Is your 300 an auto or man? Also what other mods have you done to get to that figure?
I have only ever driven a stock TT auto but from what i remember it was an absolute torque monster.

Mine is a manual but it has the shorter duration auto cams for better low end response.

Stock auto's are very torquey like you said , they have shorter duration cams and smaller turbo's for less lag and more torque

My 5 speed was fairly laggy before on stock turbo;s it made full boost at about 3500

The biggest mod i have done is highflowing my stock turbo's to fit GT28RS cores, aka the disco potato .

with these i can run up to 21psi which should take me to over 400rwhp. downside is that its quite laggy, but thats the tradeoff.

now it will make about 5psi at any rpm, then about 4000 the turbos are really pumping and full boost is at 4500

all my other work is boltons, turbo back exhasut, intercooler, all the usual stuff. I did a little bit of port work while the heads were off.

Jebus, they're some respectable numbers man. Nice!

Got any engine shots? I'd love to see how you've crammed it all in.
