My brother in law took delivery of his new Falcon G6E Turbo this week. I just took it for a spin and I am very impressed.
The character, features and performance are all very familiar compared to my VR-4 - executive express par excellence. It just feels 10 years newer (funny that). Obviously it has more bells and whistles, especially in the electronics area (stereo, reversing camera, trip computer, etc). And it isn't four wheel drive. But the standard twisty road test I use saw me driving about 5 km faster than I usually do, for the same level of subjective handling confidence.
Don't get me wrong - I still love my VR-4 and would rather not drive something that you see dozens of every day. But the Falcon G6E Turbo is a damn fine car.
My only consolation is that he spent $40,000 more than I did. lol
After he drives my car I'll grill him for his thoughts on it.
