Whilst Sony's E3 Conference provided the long awaited release date for Polyphony Digital's anticipated Gran Turismo 5 title, its conclusion has brought news of a Collector's Edition for the title.
Priced at $99.99 RRP, the full list of contents are as follows:
- Sylish, premium packaging,
- exclusive 1:43 scale diecast Nissan GT-R Spec V,
- an in-depth 300-page car guide,
- a GT-branded key chain,
- a voucher for five DLC cars,
- a numbered certificate of authenticity.
Further details are as follows. Produced by popular collectible car maker Kyosho, the diecast Nissan GT-R Spec V is an exclusive item that features a custom Gran Turismo livery designed by Polyphony Digital.
The in-depth 300 page car guide is sure to be a key attraction for fans of the franchise, detailing a wealth of information that includes the history of the automobile, driving techniques, professional racing tips, car and engine basics, tuning hints and finall reference data regarding Gran Turismo 5.
The Collector's Edition itself is a limited run, so fans will definately want to get pre-orders in early. Those that do so, for either Standard of Collector's Editions, will also be able to claim a selecting of exclusive cars for the title, including the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG, Nissan GT-R GT500, McLaren F1 and others. Each will feature a "stealth" livery custom-designed by Polyphony and also provide performance upgrades over their standard counterparts.
