Does anyone know of an uprated head gasket for the 6A13 ?

Ive tried HKS, Cometic, JUN and no one appears to do them.

There are race specialists who can make to order. IMO you really don't need to worry about the gaskets on these until you're pushing serious horsepower and rebuild with forged internals.

What do you class as serious horsepower ? :) currently 515bhp at 1.8bar on pump fuel, we will be upping it to 2.4 bar and race fuel with new cams sometime over the winter. The turbo Im running on an EVO will do 700bhp on racefuel so it should on my engine as well..... oh and then probably nos.... I think that justifies serious hoursepower ;)

Ok Richard, I'd say you're in the serious horsepower area ;)

As you're in the UK it's kinda silly to use someone in Aus to make one for you. The usual procedure is to take an existing gasket to a high-performance engineering place to fab one for you. I'm unsure if the heads have identical gaskets (unlikely) as I have neither bought a gasket kit nor pulled the heads off my car yet. My advice would be to buy the two (or more) stock gaskets you want made and start calling some high-performance / tuning / race mod places in the UK to ask them if they. After maybe ten phone calls you should have found someone you're fairly confident will be able to give you what you're after.

To be honest I'm really not at all surprised no-one makes 'off the shelf' head gaskets for extreme performance / race applications - this sort of thing is quite specialised as the market is specialised and very small.

I'm assuming of course that anything and everything you can do to replace / strengthen your internal components / block / head have all been done, as you really DON'T want to make the gasket the STRONGEST link in the chain... It's designed to be the weak link for some Very Good Reasons! While it certainly sounds like you know what you're doing there are likely to be quite a lot of people who read this who may not realise head gaskets are actually MEANT to blow out under certain conditions... Although having them go with NO2 in the system is really something you should try to avoid ;)
