Just like to say Hi to everybody on this site!!
Nice to meet you all and the names Andre by the way. My apologies for not introducing myself earlier...I'm not very computer savvy and just figured out how to make my donation only last week haha
Well I've owned a 1999 Legnum Auto for just over a year now and have been floating around this site occasionally but have not been very active. I have since been logging on more often and it's amazing the information you're able to attain from here (should have came on wayyy earlier). A big thanks to you great people who share all your useful guides, stories and knowledge.
So far my experience with this car has had its ups and downs, but overall it's a pleasure to drive and I'm very happy to own it. Previously I was thrashing around in an R32 Skyline then decided to upgrade to something more spacious...the Legnum ticked all the boxes - fast, good looking and a bloody spacious wagon
Haven't really had too much spare funds to modify her but have just done the basics - front mount, KN air filter, Turbosmart BOV, transmission cooler, boost controller and gauge, lowered springs and new shocks (s-techs), aftermarket ignition leads and high flow fuel pump.
The bad bits!!
Unfortunately I had to replace the AYC diff due to it exploding to bits but at least I got a stronger EVO 7 unit in now.
Had to retrofit a PFL power steering pump in due to extremely loud whining.
Oil leak from camshaft seal....started leaking again after I did the bloody timing belt :cursing: will most likely attend to it when I replace the noisy (sometimes) lifters!!!
Vibrations getting worse - most likely engine mounts.
Warped front discs causing terrible shudder
Apart from that its great
Anyways, sorry for the long introduction so thanks for reading and hopefully I'll see you guys (and girls) at a meet or cruise one day!
Laterzzz
