Hello Everyone!
My name is Steve From Sydney,
Just joined the forum and hopefully learn a thing or two lol.

Long time car nut. Aircraft Engineer by trade.

Currently in the process of importing a White 2001 Legnum Type S with Recaros, Moonroof etc.
Been wanting one for a while..
My Magna VR-X was written off two weeks ago in an accident that wasn't my fault (lol) ago so naturally being a Mitsubishi Nut thought I'd continue the tradition...
Anyhoo Looking forward to learning a few things from you peeps here

Civillian.. for qantas (Q-Mart).
The TME is a aussie spec I bought new back in 2002 from Parra Mitso after I sold my Lancer GSR,
19,000km's old never seen rain.
Yeah she's a garage queen. only gets driven when the weather behaves!

The leggy in question.. well...Bone stock. 71,000km grade 4B. very very keen!!! shame I have to wait so long for it.
It's got a new head unit and navi installed since this these pics were taken...

Welcome mate, good to see an aircraft engineer into Mitsubishi's. Sure you know that rolls Royce got Mitsubishi and kawazaki heavy industries to design and manufacture their mid sixed engines for Boeing. I am a fitter and machinist by trade working in maintenance engineering, and you will soon see that this forum is filled with knowledgeable and experienced people. Anyway I am sure you will love your legnum, bet you cant wait.

Yes it's well known... QMart love their rollers.. (So do I actually.. spent 13 years overhauling them lol)
Cool...Looking forward to reading up on everything I can.. I've got at least 10 weeks till the Leggy lands here so....
Did you know...Mitsubishi also build the wings for the Boeing 787's too :)

Very Nicely optioned Leggy mate, looks VERY tid as well, and that TME seems Mint, congrats for keeping such a perfect example like the car deserves, that's some serious commitment.
I have a VII myself but I Love TME's among the CP9A's. I am actually trying to get cash together for a V right now, can't have enough Evo's.

Your engineering skill should make working on a VR4 more tolerable, for some of us who started learning on the VR4, they can be a bit of a pain sometimes, but it has made working on the Evo a walk in the park.

Must do for the VR4 on arrival should be a Trans Cooler -> Guide here -> (http://ozvr4.com/forums/showthread.php?3093-How-To-Fit-an-Auto-Transmission-Cooler/page10)
Trans and driveline service and 100k Km service.

Thanks mate..Yes it still has the new car smell too... yes it takes a bit of committment but having a 2nd car helps tremendously!!
How true is that.. can't have enough evo's.. They are amazing cars...been preaching that for years!! nuff said. :)

Being an aircraft grease monkey is the good bit... cars are easy... well most of the time.. lol. I hate working on cars personally but have done everything from basic servicing to gearbox overhauls to full engine rebuilds... Most were good experiences though...
I've been in and out of the car mod industry for the best part of 20 years.. have lot's of friends in the industry (Toda etc etc) stayed away from most of that as I shy away from the scene a bit. too many "I know everything" people..

Though the Makinen has been used as a "Before" car in a couple of shows lol... happy it's unmolested!
I've been taking with Meek about their "skills and professionalism" the last few days.. will have a look at their workshop to see what their about as I've heard good things...
I've saved a front mount + trans cooler (cheers for the link too!!) saved for when it lands.. cheers for the heads up!! :)

Welcome aboard Steve very nice cars. There are alot of i know everything about cars people in here, but the only difference is they really do know everything about these cars. If you cant find the information you need on this site there is always someone here that knows and will point you in the right direction.
 
Contact TME on here to see if he can fit you in for any work you require. I also used to go to MEEK but never again
