Help with power steering belt

hi all. does anyone know where i can get a power steering belt from? repco and coventrys said that a 6pk1060 doesnt exist and mitsubishi aparently doesnt have any in australia. is there anywhere in perth? or a different model number that will work?

Not 100% sure as I got mine from Japan, but try the aftermarket part numbers listed in the 100k service at Veale's and you may get lucky.

I swear I got mine either through Repco or Auto One. Unfortunately they couldn't get or find a 6PK1060, so I grabbed a 6PK1065 instead and no dramas at the moment.

i have a 6PK1065 too, its more common (standard size for an FTO i was told) and fits without an issue.

got it from repco too

the 1065 is a whopping 5mm longer than the 1060..

Obviously this doesn't matter. I got both belts from some std parts place, the other one was 5mm shorter than what was listed it doesn't matter that's what the adjustment pulley's are for right?

^ correct, as long as you have enough adjustment, so a little bigger usually doesnt affect it that much
