i just picked up 1 of these .green 5 speed, new clutch, exhaust(it sounds just like my gto did just not as deep)
it joins the zr4 eterna, and my legnum if i ever get it from the w/shop.
i paid $320 for it,clear coat is peelling a bit,it needs a good tidy up,
brakes need some work,it is registered, everything works that i have tried
so far.
red line is 7500 so it loves to rev.
will put up some pics after i give it a wash.

no i don't think so
it would have mivec on the rocker covers wouldn't it.

I would imagine so, or maybe VR-M badges on the outside? It'd be strange to have a 7500rpm rev line and no mivec though. the 1.6 6a10 was 7000rpm, 1.8 6a11 was 6500rpm, 2.0 6a12 non mivec was 7000rpm in fto's and 2.5 6a13 was 6500rpm. The mivec 6a12 was 8000rpm in fto's.

Hmmm, is there any change in exhaust note around 4000-5000rpm?

If its Oz delivered then its not Mivec.

I love the shape of the V6 24 hatch, it's such a shame we didn't get the turbo 4WD version over here :(

the 6a10 is the 1.6L V6 yeah....smallest V6 ever mass produced...i thought the factory one in my Eunos was small, measuring in @ 1.8L & was a V6.....smoothest engine i've ever driven though....and F*#k me it loved to rev...only car iv'e driven with a "Noticeable" powerband......

anything that has 6 or more cylinders and each cylinder is around the 300cc mark or less is going to be very very smooth :) I wanted a 1.8 v6 mazda for my first car but ended up with a 1.6 i4 instead. The v6 would have been cool :)

i still have mine...is this the kind you had bradc...???

its a 6A12 DOHC 24v no mivec.

I ve got one my self fully optioned (HJ). There a nice car, but i certainly didnt pay $320 bucks!!

I got mine for 6k including insurance rego + roadie.

Pic below

Strange you say that rev limit brad, as the HJ V624 I drove a while ago went straight to 8000 no problems, it was non mivec.
