How to beat the new laser radars

The blurb says it's a parking sensor.. That just a way to be allowed to sell it?

I have had mates caught with radar detectors. You get bent over pretty bad.

How badly did they get bent over and how did the police find it? I've been wanting one of these forever

Radar detectors arent illegal yet in wa but its going through legislation so it wont be long before they illegal. These things basically can be programmed to alert you from ages away if they meet their competition and can be programmed to turn off and self reset for 60 seconds if needed, but i doubt a laser camera is gonna get up and chase you down...i believe it uses the same frequency as what parking sensors use

They have radar detector... detectors. I'm not sure if they work for laser ones. I would be surpised if they didn't have laser detector detectors.

Mate got pulled over by highway patrol who said. Right where is it. Their system picks up your car has one then you get fined. I think it was in the order of $700 and 3 or more points. You might be able feign innocence and get away with it....

detectors are too risky. the best LEGAL way is to have a jammer on ur car. which doesnt allow the radar signal to bounce off ur car. something like an automatic garage door opener works. as its constantly sending out a signal to open ur garage when ur within range.

please elaborate on this steve

Ive been pulled over in kalgoorlie by coppers warning me they r using a radar detector - detector. So i think most of us are aware that they are using things to pick our units up, but the laser thing i mentioned in the beginning is the same signal that they use in the new nissans which uses a laser to automatically adjust the cruise control so your car dont get too close to the car in front! Same laser 907nm i think cant remember its free to use too =]

found a website for some interesting info
http://www.delonixradar.com.au/radar-detectors/stealth/
From what I read on there, basically there are only a couple of units that are undetectable by radar detector detectors (RDDs). Radar jammer's are detectable (not individual cars but police do know when a jammer is in the area) and are very illegal. Laser detector units aren't very good as they actually have to intercept a police laser to detect it, by which time the police have probably already caught you.

After working in Victoria's transport POLICE complex for 10 years yes some highway cops have radar detectors BUT they only detect the units that are available in AUS from WA. The radar detectors from the US are undetectable in AUS cos the US units are way advanced. The cops here in Aus mainly use SILVER EAGLE radar and speed detection units which the cops in the US used about 8 years ago. A mate that imports parts from the US managed to import a radar detector by telling customs it was an ignition system (customs don't have a clue) when they asked him what it was, I brought the unit to work to see if it was detectable and it wasn't.

Basicly any good radar, laser detector from the US is at least 2 steps ahead of the stuff the Aussie cops use.

Mines from the USA and it got detected in Kalgoorlie!?!?

Sorry Dude as my post poorly stated only high quality units are undetectable. you have to sus out what radar system the unit is using.

Whats classified/qualified as a high quality unit as all units on the market have this label for increased sales effectiveness?

i dont think quality has anything to do with it. it detects a light beam (whether it be laser, radar, sonar or whatever they use), thats it.

i guess it will depend on the the spectrum of frequencies the detector picks up and beams out.
