First of all welcome to the club!
Second, there is a few things that may interest you in regards to owning a VR4.
Here is a great place to start with all the FAQ's

Iron Chef Imports or J-Spec Imports are great guys to talk to about importing your own VR4 if thats the way you want to go

You are pretty lucky being in WA as there are a couple for sale out that way. Also some great guys you can catch up with if you need any help or just want to check some Legnum's or Galant's out

im after a FL galant

and does Iron Chef imports and J-Spec import to WA?

Welcome to the forums Sloth, feel free to introduce yourself properly in the Introduction Section

The Galant you linked looks like a half decent deal, don't find too many manual Galants for that cheap. Sure the kms may be a tad high, but if it has been well looked after it should be a pretty decent deal.

Otherwise, both Iron Chef and J-Spec will ship nation-wide and I'm sure many people can vouch for them, myself included.

Forget the one you have found... It's a bit cheaper then 6months ago, but the condition is everything else then good. Burns marks everywhere, 100,000km and no recent service done (cam belt would be good) and it definetely had an accident before.

Fair enough looks like i'll speak to Iron chef or J-Spec thanks everyone

South Fremantle Imports do VR-4s, I believe a few WA guys have got their rides through them.

Try and speak to Phil from Phil's Mechanical Service in Midvale. He has pretty much done all the compliancing on the W.A. vehicles.

He might know of any car's in question. He recommended to go thru a guy by the name of Simon Burger. I went with Simon and was very happy with the service. They are even able to ship to Fremantle as well.

Good luck with the search.

Scott

Lookup Fremantle Auto Imports, the dude there already has cars imported and complied, mostly Legnum's and Galants, that's where I got my Leggy from. Good way to avoid lots of effort otherwise I would recommend Iron Chef, spoke to the dude and he was extremely helpful and a lot of other members would recommend him.

I went via j-spec, shipped direct to freo. Iron Chef was also very helpful. Phil's automotive can also do it for you and save you $1000. I reckon the cheapest way of doing it is to look on carsales or drive. There are usually so many on there and they are always cheaper, I see manual galants on there frequently for under $13k.

You may also find the guide linked in my sig useful, as it was written precisely for people in your situation ;)
