Hi Guys
Im thinking of biting the bullet and selling my lancer, and i've decide to import a Galant VR4 98-02 model preferably 02, white and must be manual.

i know its been asked a few times, but i would just like to introduce my self at the same time.

What's some of the things i should look out for in importing a car from Japan? simple things like hidden costs and taxes iv'e budgeted for, but things like knowing a dodgy car from a good car would help very much.

Oh and im thinking of using prestige motorsports as the imported, what kind of experiences have people had with these guys

Thanks
Dom

Yeah i just feel you don't have as much control over the car if its auto, i mean mum's V35 its great car but it would be a hell of alot better if it was manual

Welcome to the site mate, im sure any location will welcome someone looking at getting a car dont need to have one to make it to a meet.

i am the same prefer manual, but when i took "grandpa" its a 97 auto (well known around here for its KM's) for a drive i was very pleased with its handling and performace as an auto, we both gunned it and it took off me in my manual but its smooth gear changes were making its take off smoother then my manual and at least keeping up with me.
