Anyone tried boring out the engine to increase the displacement yet ?

I faintly remember Gly had a bored out something in his car ?

There's stroking/boring kits for the 4G63, so was curious if anyone has looked into it for our engines ?

Hmm.... that & increased turbos = (y)

You would do the turbos first. The little basterds spool at 2000rpm already lol!!!

And look at Madhav's output with just turbos, I don't think you would bother looking for more displacement if his can do that! :D

i want to make mine a 2.7 so i have less lag when i do go GT2554R's... this is all a long way off yet though.

its been looked into, (in the UK)

and the cylinder wall is pretty thin as it is so the only way is to shorten/increase(sorry forget which) the stroke

Mitsi do sell 1mm oversized pistons, taking the car up to 2560cc, not a huge increase. I'm not sure about how much you can stroke them out by. Bernard (Mante) said a long time ago he was looking into something like 2.8 or 3.0L capacity but I'm not sure what came of that. I'm sure he will tell you about it when he comes online though.

Wouldn't it be far easy to do a GTO transplant? How different are these motors?

And you wouldn't need any increase in capacity for GT2554R's. They would make positive pressure at a normal level, ie before 3k, unlike the current 2ish.

I want to keep it boosting rediculously early.. if not earlier lmao.
