Hey all,

Does anyone know what the best way to transport a car from NSW to WA is? Or could anyone tell me who I should be calling to arrange it?

Cheers,

Dawso

I'd PM iron chef as he'd be getting them transported all over the country, But I'm sure others will know more than me

Yeah I might flick him an email and see what he says, cheers man

$500 isn't bad... If I give in to temptation and buy the Silvia convertible I just found (I'm a tragic, I know) I might have to look into that.

EDIT: I dunno if they do cars, but my new wheels are coming from Perth through Northline Freight and I have been hugely impressed with their service and price.

Toll Autotrans gave me a quote - Sydney depot to Perth depot - $1140

Pfft

Tried Northline but they don't want to play the game.... They don't do vehicles

/sigh

Kudos to Kristian (Iron Chef) who has given me some other avenues to pursue! :D

Great Southern Railway - Sydney to Perth - Unaccompanied vehicle - $1059

Cheapest so far! Lol

Yea man, my car cost me a little under a grand from compliance in QLD to Freo... You might want to try Kiwi Car Carriers and do it by boat?

Kristian hooked me up with a bloke at Seaway so i'll give him a call tomorrow :)

Pretty ridiculous! I think if I buy this convertible I'm looking at it'll be a fly up, drive back mission!

Come visit me on the way back :)

I've worked out that it would cost about $700 in fuel and food from here, not including the three 12 hour days travel so its not all that bad haha
