Intake/Airbox and Power Window problems

Hey guys..

Just got myself a Legnum and have two problems I would like to look into...

1st is the aftermarket pod filter installed in place of the standard intake and airbox. This is an illegal mod here in Australia so I need to get the standard setup back on it and then look into fitting a pod filter inside that. I haven't had any luck finding an online store for the VR4's or even on Ebay. Anyone know of an online shop that stocks parts for these or could even help me getting one to suit the 2.5l turbo motor?

2nd is the window control system. Having gone from 2 windows to 4 means it takes ages to wind all the windows up when parking. I took the oportunity to fit a window rasing system with the alarm that just got fittied but found out that the system is digital and not analog so the alarm add on could not operate the windows. Anyone know of a way around this? i was thinking of just hard wiring to all four window switches in some way that keeps them a seperate circuit as with my old Mitsu the windows work up to 30sec after ignition is switched off. Maybe I could even increase this time to reduce the rush to get out and hit the alarm button. Any thoughts?

Trademe NZ is a great place to start. They have almost as many Legnums as sheep over there!

Whats wrong with winding them up before you stop? Mine dont take that long at all to go up. When you say "ages" how long approx?

Yup, your car already has that function with the factory key (for the front windows anyway) But what bothers me is they your alarm installer couldn't get the alarm system to wind them up... which is bullshit! On my Legnum, I had all 4 windows on remote up when the alarm system was armed. I'd be going back and asking for my money back with crap like that being spouted at you!

Now I just use the factory system which is more then enough, but, that's all down to personal choice.

Its not even that hard, its not like you have to wind them up and down by hand, just hold a couple of switches

Does the AUTO feature no longer work on your master window switch? There is a guide on how to fix it. Just hit all switches at the same time and walk away, no need to sit and hold them.

Troy, welcome to ozvr4.. your issue with the windows can easily be fix.. at the moment, i cant find the procedue.. but is definitely in the guide section..

Ok thanks for all the help guys... I have factory key but didn't know you could wind windows up. I am used to turning car off and flicking switches then get out. I hate having to hold two then the other two if I have all four the whole way down.

Not really sure why installer couldn't get windows to wrk but if I can fix myself I will just do that. I will do that and prolly see about wiring up alarm to those switches.

I will try out suggestions for the standard intake. Once I have that and sort out a internal pod I can start looking at more "fun" mods.... Like Mr AVC-R.

If you press the factory key twice and hold on the second push, it should wind all the windows up for you..
