Is that I pick up the North Shore Communications centre (Police) as clear as a bell. Was sitting waiting to pick up my fiancee from work yesterday and was fiddling with the frequency adjuster.

Listened to a cop or MSO radioing in a rego on an abandoned car then listened as the dispatcher radio'd back with the owner and address.

Won't be too much longer though before NZP switch over to encrypted digital communications though.

how exactly did you pick it up? What frequency was it at?

Well I have one of those Japanese radio's that don't go over 88.9MHz

I should probably correct my previous statement in saying that I can pick up most transmissions clearly but the volume has to be quite high. In between tx/rx there is a lot of static but you can make out quite clearly what's going on.

The frequency I pick them up on is 76.1 MHz which is quite close to 75.400 which is apparently Area 2.

75.2500 is apparently North 1.
