I thought Avatar was visually fantastic. The fact that the plot was by-the-numbers and the acting was just adequate didn't actually detract from the spectacle. It was AWESOME.

I saw Cloudy With a Chance Of Meatballs with my kids today, and have to say that it was as good as Avatar. Maybe not as visually stunning but so much more creative with the story and script. Still trying to decide which movie I liked better.

meatballs was a sick movie. so glad i saw that too. was expecting a crappy kids movie and i got an awesome kids movie

Agreed - also very awesome, though I seemed to enjoy it way more being a geeky male than my wife.

I spent the next couple of days:

a) describing everything I was doing and,
b) replying to most questions with 'STEVE!'

Saw Avatar in 3D the other night... I must say.. WOW!... from a technical aspect this is the best 3D modeled movie I have seen! Final Fantasy was up there back in the day; but this is mind blowing..

Going to see it again :)
