Is there such a thing as a Manual, Facelift, Galant VR-4 Type-S ?

In all my internet wanderings I have never come across said beast.

There are plenty of facelift, manual, Galant Type-V's and facelift, manual Legnum Type-S'.

If they don't exist, I wonder why Mitsubishi never produced them ?

Facelift Manual 400hp VR-4 Legnum
I don't think so. In prefacelift they made them, but in facelift it is either Type S auto or Type V manual or Type V auto.

Wagons were a lot more popular than Galants, maybe mitsi decided there wasn't much reason and that the range topper would exist in Legnum form only.

I know of quite a few Type V's, obviously there are the ones that members are getting here, 2 or 3 in the UK (including one that was first sold in 2003), and another 2 or 3 in NZ. No manual Type S though, I don't think they actually existed.

Who cares though anyway, Legnums are better :D

Bah, Facelift, Smaschelift!:p:D

As Brad says, as far as we know there's no Type-S manual. Occasionally you get the odd car land from Japan that's been converted, but not very often.

Oddly, Mitsubsihi saw fit to specify the Type-V with either manual or Auto, but the Type-S was Auto only!

Mind you, thinking about it, that's not too dissimilar to the Pre-Facelifts.... 'VR-4 Type-S' was auto + AYC + ASC + TCL, vanilla 'VR-4' was manual + AYC only.

Yes, but Series 2 Type V manual is MT + NO AYC...

Type S + manual gearbox swap is the way to go IMO. Worth considering for rare colours / options for Legnums, too...

This makes this yellow VR-4 even more interesting as it was listed as manual.

I wonder if if is factory ?
