Jamex Superlows

Hi Simon,

I had a great old time with various spring setups in my Legnum before biting the bullet and getting Tein coilovers. I first started with Jamex superlows all round. These were great until you put anyone in the back seat or anything in the back then it would sag down and bottom out like nothing else. Had the shocks replaced which made a slight difference for a bit but not much. It seemed to be getting worse and worse, so took it back to the guys who put them in. They got a new set in as they thought the springs may have "failed". Put them in - no difference. Then they got a set of kings in - also no difference. I then went to Dobi lows which kept the back of the car up a tad higher, but once again they just couldn't take anymore weight being added to the back. Through all of this the original Jamex ones were still in the front and were mint - must have had a much higher rating than the rears. Now I have the Tein coilovers and I would never go back. They are slightly firmer overall, but you can have two guys in the back seat and the boot full of luggage and it holds it's height very well and have no scrapping issues.

Sorry for the huge rant, but thought you might benefit from my costly experience. This was in a Legnum, so could be a different story with a Galant with a lighter rear end.

Thanks man.

I am going superlows because if you get Coilovers you need cert...extra $400. So i can't really be bothered with that. Have the Jamex's now and installing them after Xmas =]
