I've tried to find some reviews for the Dunlop Lemans 70Z (205/55 R 16) as featured on my car. All I can deduce from the markings apart from the info above is that they are speed rated "V" (240km/h).

Are they a semi-decent tyre - just wondering?

I intend replacing them soon with Goodyear F1's but I'm sure 225/55's would be better as they're the manufacturer's standard aren't they? (if they are, then why did mine come with 205's??? )

I'm keeping the original standard wheels on the car otherwise I'd get bigger wheels / tyres :)

Prefacelift size is 205/55/16 standard, facelift is 225/50/16, hope this helps.

yeah the facelift wheels are 16x6.5" and are designed for slightly wider tyres. You don't want to go with 225/50 on the standard prefacelift 16x6 wheels, the car will roll all over the place and feel terrible.
