Hey all,

Recently picked up a nice little auto VR4 face lift.

Still figuring out what has been done to it, but what I know so far is it has:

- aftermarket apexi intercooler and piping
- aftermarket radiator
- possibly factory brembos
- bigger sway bars
- OZ wheels
- quite possibly a 3 port solenoid (and if so, that means a tune).

Now I'm completely new to Mitsubishi, usually I'd be seen rolling around in a Toyota, so thanks in advance for helping me out with not breaking my leggy, or fixing it when I do break it.

Hey it's good to see you took my advice and joined.

Brembo a are not stock. Would have come from an Evo 6-9.
Pic of the engine bay and we may point out a few other mods

Welcome. Is it white or pearl white?
I have a pearl white FL and a Hamilton silver PFL Leggys. I love the silver but the white has grown on me a lot recently.
Read through the guides, there's lots to be learnt and unlike other turbo engines, things that work on Nissan and Toyota don't always work on Mitsu !

This is the only pic I have of the engine bay atm, I'll have to take some more, up close and detailed during daylight hours again.

Yep that's an example I was talking about.
Find and refit the standard airbox. Our MAF doesn't like pod filters. It make them run like shit screw up the airflow signal and destroys your fuel economy and doesn't make it go any better

I figured as much, hopefully I can get it to fit around the piping and find a high flow panel filter for it .

Just finished putting the standard shitbox back on, PO was kind enough to give it to me with the car, he wasn't stupid enough to throw it away.

I'll see if I can notice any changes over the next few drives.

One issue I do have that's really bugging me though is under heavy load/hard acceleration and therefore higher boost I sometimes feel like its popping or back firing, and some times it feels like boost of something is chopping. Doesn't seem to happen though under normal acceleration.

Any thoughts?

Re plugs: as am I, ordering some vk22 plugs soon to swap out and see if that helps.
